The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is investigating nearly 400,000 Jeep Liberty SUVs built between 2002 and 2003 over a concern of premature deployment of airbags. NHTSA said preliminary investigation is the first step in a process which can lead to a recall.
