At the SAE world congress held in Detroit,
Raser Technologies opened up the suspense by announcing that they were developing an Extended Range Electric Vehicle which is a full size SUV designed to achieve more than 100mpg in local daily driving with almost zero emission if driving up to 40 miles per day in all electric mode.

Mitsubishi will increase its MiEV (Mitsubishi innovative electric vehicle) lineup by adding a plug-in hybrid SUV in 2013. The plug-in hybrid SUV is inspired by the Px-MiEV concept car that made its first seen at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show. The company has been working on this Hybrid SUV and has already reached higher development stages.
