 The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) search was opened last week concerning the liftgate glass on 2010-2011 Ford Escapes and Mercury Mariners. According to the NHTSA’s Office of Defect Investigations (ODI) there are 18 complaints that claim that “the liftgate glass shattered unexpectedly, while opening the liftgate or while closing the liftgate.” This could possibly have an effect on roughly around 200,000 vehicles.
