PEUGEOT 4007 SUV REVIEW

PEUGEOT 4007 SUV is PEUGEOT’S first SUV built by Mitsubishi which is known for making tough. Was introduced by the French auto maker Peugeot in July 2007.It has captured the market and has a good position with its automotive driving.

Produced in its Okazaki plant on the basis of the new Outlander both the 4007 and C-Crosser are the first Japan produced cars sold under any French brand. It is a compact all terrain vehicle which gives a pleasure to drive. A practical and easy-to-own alternative and is actual value for money is driving it is a real fun. Though, as the Outlander it is a fine family vehicle.

PEUGEOT SUV VERSIONS AND PRICE:
It is available in two versions:
1.Version 4007 SE 2.2 HDi FAP with CC 2179 and gives power of 156@4000 and the cost is £23,245.

2.The second version is 4007 GT 2.2 HDi FAP with CC 2179 gives power of 156@4000 and the cost is £25,845.

PEUGEOT SUV FEATURES:
The Peugeot 4007 SUV has a seating capacity of five with an extra pair of fold-out occasional seats. Being a SUV it has a car like handling and has different front-end design, tail lights and interior trim, and slightly retuned suspension, brakes and steering. It has selectable four-wheel-drive system, 2.2-litre HD diesel engine which gives 156bhp. The optional leather upholstery of the suv is of a decent quality.

There are two levels in Peugeot 4007 and they are:

1. SE LEVEL: This level has the features like climate control, CD/MP3 player, stability control, cruise control, roof bars, and 16-inch alloy wheels.

2. G T LEVEL: GT level has 18-inch alloys, leather upholstery, CD auto changer, rear parking sensors, xenon headlamps, tinted rear glass and electrically-adjustable driver’s seat.

Both the options include Bluetooth phone kit, metallic paint, color satellite navigation, and a rear-view camera. The SUV starts from a very reasonable price of £22,790.

The highlighted feature is that it returns 39.2mpg and 191g/km of carbon dioxide, keeping it out of the highest tax bands. It’s also worth noting that this 2.2 HDI diesel engine can run on a 30% biodiesel blend (B30).

PEUGEOT SUV PERFORMANCE:
This PSA 2.2 HDI engine is smoother and quiet it works well with Peugeot’s six-speed manual gearbox. Running with a top speed of 124mph and a 0-60mph time of 9.9 seconds, the SUV is substantially quicker, too.

It develops much more torque (285lb ft), and thus gives additional strength mid-range, especially useful for overtaking and towing. In normal driving conditions the 4007 is front-wheel drive but a circular dial in the centre console allows the selection of automatic four-wheel-drive. The 4007 is as intrepid an off-roader as most SUV buyers will ever need. It’s capable of towing up to 2000kg.

PEUGEOT SUV COMFORT FEATURES:
Being a five seater it gives two extra pop up seats for children. Both the models are very well equipped and have good space for headroom and one touch folding seats.

PEUGEOT SUV SAFETY FEATURES:
Gaining four stars in SUV safety it comes with standard six air bags, ISOFIX child seat is available, high centre gravity, stability and traction control, a rolling-code immobiliser, a Thatcham Category 1 alarm, deadlocks, locking wheel nuts and visible VIN.
