PEUGEOT 208 SUV

Peugeot is currently having SUV 207 and is not planning to launch any new SUV model till the year 2012. Still people are expecting the new model 208 which will replace 207.

The changes are expected to come from the new Peugeot chief designer Jean-Pierre Ploue, who has joined from fellow PSA firm Citroen, and replaces Jerome Galix. The new model 208 is expected to compete with the smaller models like Ford’s Fiesta.

We believe that it would be inspired by both the RC Hybrid concept and the newly launched 3008 SUV. While compared to 207 SUV which is rounded and more docile, the upcoming 208 will be bolder and much more aggressive. The features will be some what similar to 3008 as it is expected to be inspired from 3008. It will have a centerpiece of the front end. The grill will be large mouthed grill. Similarly, there will also be swept back headlights.

The new 208 SUV will be available in three door and five-door cars. The new car will debut a host of super efficient turbocharged petrol and diesel power plants, and is set to be fitted with a start-stop system that switches off the engine in stationary traffic to save fuel and cut emissions.
