The 2010 Jeep Wrangler Summing Up
Every 2010 Jeep Wrangler comes equipped with antilock brakes, hill start assist and stability control with rollover sensor. There are optional Front-seat airbags too. This SUV earns the perfect five-star for frontal-impact protection from the government crash tests and the IIHS awarded the 2010 Jeep Wrangler with the highest rating “Good” for the frontal-offset impacts but without the optional side airbags, this SUV’s side-impact crash-stability was termed “Poor” for the two-door (it is the IIHS’ worst rating ever) and it get the “Marginal” rating for the four-door Unlimited (which is second to worse). The main reason for this is the removable side doors which are not designed for crash protection and when testing the brakes, the 2010 Jeep Wrangler stopped after a lengthy 137 feet. The 2010 Jeep Wrangler is quite the unstoppable SUV in off-roading and this is particularly seen in the Rubicon mostly due to its specialized hardware. Though the Unlimited is larger it is not as maneuverable on tight trails as the two-door model however, the interior has more space to allow you to carry gear. The 2010 Jeep Wrangler is also nice during city drives and though it is somewhat tipsy when turning and less on grip, it provides an adequate amount even with its slim-rimmed wheel. The 2010 Jeep Wrangler’s biggest disadvantage is the V6 engine which guzzles fuel and is weak on highways especially when accelerating quickly, the extra wind and road noise add to the disadvantage list. |
