The BMW X5 SUV Performance
Performance is everything with the BMW X5 SUV and it is certainly par excellence. The SUV handles like a sports sedan with spare power and even though the fuel economy is not up to expectations, the Diesel version makes up for the loss for those looking for fuel efficiency. The power and acceleration is impressive in the xDrive30i which has the 3.0-liter in-line six-cylinder engine that outputs 260 HP; on the other hand the xDrive48i with a 4.8-liter V8 engine gives 350 HP and finally the xDrive35d has the 3.0-liter 265HP which comes with a six-cylinder Advanced Diesel double-turbocharged engine.
It is also good to know that all the engines are balanced with a six-speed automatic transmission with manual mode. While some prefer the gasoline version and claim that it offers much more power than its diesel counterpart; if fuel economy is on the priority list with sporty looks combines – then it’s the diesel that wins hands down. The BMW X5 SUV is touted to be the best in handling though if one is not used to German Dynamics it is better to stay away from the X5.
