Land Rover Discovery 4 ArmouredAt the end of last week, Range Rover has disclosed the latest Land Rover Discovery 4 armored vehicle which can endure some serious fire power. The Land Rover Discovery 4 armored vehicle is power-driven by a 5.0-litre LR-V8 direct-injection petrol engine that expands 375 PS (276 kW) and 510 Nm (376 lb ft) of torque. The performance statistics state that the Land Rover Discovery 4 armored vehicle is able to get from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.6 seconds which is necessary for a fast getaway. The five-passenger vehicle is outfitted with what Land Rover describes as “discreet armoring,” which makes it the “perfect choice for government agencies, security organizations and businesses whose employees are exposed to high-risk locations.” Additional defending equipment, developed with vehicle armoring high-quality Centigon, comprises ballistic steel armor, heavy-duty glass and under-floor protection from hand grenades and other explosives. Fortunately, Land Rover has given its armored model the big 5.0-liter V8, beefier brakes, promoted air suspension and heavy-duty wheels with run-flat tires to handle the extra load, but the big Landie can still push to 62 in 10.6 seconds and carry an additional 1,100 pounds of people and gear. The bullet proof SUV weighs up to 3550kg without the optional extras. To be able to deal with the additional weight, the Land Rover Discovery 4 armored vehicle is tied in with a modified suspension system, 378mm brake discs with upgraded Alcon aluminum brake callipers and Goodyear Wrangler HP All Weather run flat tires plus heavy duty wheels.
