Dodge Durango 2011 Gets Well-Groomed InteriorChrysler Group has been releasing the details of Dodge Durango 2011 at regular intervals, as we all have already seen the exterior at several angles, until now the very first official interior snapshot has been released that portrays the interior of the SUV. This picture does give out a few important details specifically, that the new design is a noteworthy exit from the old, quite understated cockpit. The styling of the insides of Dodge Durango is quite similar to its sister Jeep Grand Cherokee as they share the same platform and mechanical bits. Chrysler clams that the interior of the Durango was created by the same interior design studio that designed the upgraded interior in the Ram trucks and Jeep Grand Cherokee interiors. As mentioned earlier the new Durango is available with two engine options including a 3.6 liter V6 and a 5.7 liter HEMI V8. However, Dodge did make an effort to put its own stamp on the Durango to differentiate from the Grand Cherokee. All the shown features of Dodge-specific steering wheel and its own estimate cluster. The major difference – Durango is a three row seater whereas Jeep’s a tow row seater. The Durango will have 22 different seating configurations, and extra touches like support lighting and a dash of aluminum and chrome accents make this inside look more luxurious than before. The interior is also said to be very comfortable for all three rows of passengers and has plenty of room for cargo. Overall the interiors is overwhelmingly good when taking into consideration what Dodge’s presently have thanks to Ram, but against the competition this will be viable if not class-leading.
