NEWS:

1. Honda wins the 2009 “Best Resale Value” Brand award from Kelley Blue Book’s.
2. The 2009 Pilot has received 5-star frontal- and 5-star side-impact crash-test ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

COMMENTS:

1. The editors of USA TODAY laud the interior, saying “Wider than most rivals, it feels generously spacious and makes three-across child seats plausible.” They also note that “The center stack up front bristles with buttons and controls. Intimidating at first, but quickly learned, and far better than trying to minimize the number of controls via joystick system or multiple-choice menu…”

2. By the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) “Honda has a long history of environmental leadership, including the introduction of America’s first mass produced hybrid, the Honda Insight, and the first vehicle to meet California’s low emission vehicle standards, well in advance of regulatory requirements. Acknowledgement of our commitment to innovation can be seen by Honda’s topping the rankings as the country’s greenest automaker for the fourth time in a row”.
