No Effect of Cell phone Prohibition While Driving

cell-phone-accidents

Car accidents can happen anywhere at anytime on the road no matter how well protected the driver may be. Often these unfortunate incidents occur due to something that has grown to be an essential part of everyday modern living: The Cellphone. Even if these gadgets are a convenience for our lives, they can also prove to be unsafe and dangerous distractions while driving.

Cellphone is a tool to communicate by using its texting and calling features, both of which can split the driver’s attention from the road and probably make them miss signs of danger. Texting while driving would make the driver divert his or her eyes from the road to the phone’s LCD screen, while taking to someone by calling them on the phone would result in the driver to concentrate a bit on the conversation while driving. Either way, owing to these actions the driver is more preoccupied while driving, which is generally the cause of most car accidents in the country.

Because of the disturbance and probable danger that cellphone could be, cellphones have been prohibited to use while driving in many states in order to reduce and even avoid car crashes that are caused by them. The increasing awareness of the issues and many protection measure points has been raised to reduce the risks of cellphone-connected car accidents.

For instance these safety points including usage of blocking software on cellphone so that drivers are not be distracted by them or even be required to use them while driving. Already some cellphone blocking software recommended for purchase, but this only applies for GPS-smart phones and not on the regular Cellphone. There have been suggestions to put up some road signs on certain places on the road way where the driver should not use their cellphone while driving through and they should pay their full attention to their driving instead.

In the meantime, the effect of putting into practice the cellphone outlaw in some states has yet to be experienced. Despite the outlaw of cellphone usage while driving there is no change in the toll of car crashes, and the Highway Loss Data Institute (HLDI) revealed that accident rates have not changed either. The possible reasons for this lacking effect of the ban could be two things: the news of cellphone ban have not been properly broadcast amongst people so drivers still continue to use their phones while driving, or they have been banned properly in those states.

Despite the little effect that the cellphone ban had done, there are many states joining in the advocacy of not using Cellphones while driving. Many are wishing that further and more proper execution of the outlaw would help to reduce the number of car crashes across the country.

Tips & Advice
  • The crease down the entire side paneling is a dead giveaway that it is a BMW. Bimmer should have covered up that better, but not everybody knows about that.

  • Okay, so it's a little watered down compared to the Minagi. The curved grille is now flat, and all the sharp contours of the chrome wing & crystalline projector lamps are gone, replaced with a regular projector and a thin chrome strip. Wheels are still a bit big. But they kept the shape and I'm REALLY excited about SKYACTIV technology! Can't wait to test drive it.
