2010 Midsize SUV : Mercedez Benz G ClassMercedes-Benz focuses largely on road-going manners with its M-Class SUV, but the G-Class is a hard-core off-road machine that comfortably seats five people. The increasingly retro-looking G-wagon gets several exterior enhancements, such as body-color door handles, new side molding, a spare wheel cover, and a sport-tuned exhaust system. Both the G550 and G55 AMG interiors gain ambient lighting as standard, a leather dashboard, an updated key and a heated wood/leather steering wheel. Even though the outer styling might be best illustrated as “functional” the G-Class has an assured modest request. One of the most talented off road of all SUVs (even if it would be unusual for any owners to undertake an off road in such an expensive luxury vehicle) the G-Class offers exclusivity, timeless styling and real road presence. The negative aspects are there are no third row seats, lack of latest high-tech features and unwieldy handling on the road. Contenders take account of the Hummer H2 and Land Rover Range Rover SUVs.
