2010 Compact SUV : HONDA CR-V
Based on a car platform, the Honda CR-V SUV rides much closer to the ground level and is more solid than a standard SUV. This ultimately benefits the fuel economy and driving manners, which of course means that its towing abilities and off-road performance are compromised. Honda CR-V is a 4-door, 5-seater sport-utility, efficient styling, A 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standards and has modified interior controls. Honda CR-V is not the most powerful Compact SUV, but it stands out for its “just-right” blend of comfort, minor improvement, passenger room, and cargo flexibility. Lots of standard SUV safety and convenience features. The small dimensions and the responsive engine mean that city driving is easy and fun. SUV designed to be practical for the target market (young families) few handy features like 8 cup-holders and numerous cubby holes dotted around the cabin for cell-phones, loose change, sunglasses, wallet etc. Honda has gone to immense pains to make the new Honda CRV look more like a sedan than a SUV. Here’s also a freshened grille, front/rear bumpers, and hood, and new, 10-spoke alloy wheels. It has wider center armrests; the satellite-linked navigation system now comes with Bluetooth. The slender lines and the small footprint give this SUV’s a complete new appeal for younger drivers. With good levels of equipment, 5 star safety ratings and legendary Honda reliability, this is one of the best of the compact SUVs available today. Competitors include the Toyota RAV4 and Chevrolet Equinox.
