2010 Compact SUV : BMW X3
BMW X3 SUV gets a complete treatment with a less boxy, more sporty look (photo is of current gen), added passenger and cargo room, a more driver-friendly interior, and myriad standard and optional high-end appointments, such as adaptive headlights, night vision, and head-up display. BMW’s compact all-wheel-drive BMW X3 SUV which is comfort to seat five and is smaller than BMW’s X5. There aren’t any notable modifications in BMW X3 SUV. The panoramic moon-roof is now optional instead of standard and is available as an individual option or as part of a package. HD radio is a new standard feature. Being the hugely successful BMW X5’s smaller brother, expectations are high, whether for styling or ability. To much disapproval, BMW X3 SUV turned out inelegant, its narrow-looking stance not winning many points from the back or the side. On the roads, BMW X3 SUV grips strongly and steers accurately with ample feedback. The overall driving experience is so good that it becomes easy to forget that BMW X3 is in fact an SUV. There are many adjustments for the steering wheel and supportive seats which will allow drivers of any height to get comfortable. Even though the narrow-looking stance, front and rear rows actually enjoy abundant room. The SUV’s fuel economy is slightly less than the average of the class regardless that its magnificent smooth in-line 6 cylinder engine, but X3 is surpassed by the best in the class for its value. The X3 fits into the crowded luxury SUVs segment that also includes the Acura RDX, Infiniti EX35 and Land Rover LR2.
