Review of 2009 BMW X3 SUVBoth Edition versions of the BMW X3 are also available with a new Comfort Package Plus as an individual option. Depending on the model variant, the Comfort Package Plus starts at a price of Euro 1,950. FEATURES: The features of the new Editions are: EDITION LIFESTYLE: In concern to special edition Lifestyle it gets 18-inch light-alloy rims in double-spoke design on the xDrive35d and 17-inch V-spoke wheels on all other model variants. Inside it has leather steering wheel, seat made up of Pearl cloth/leather as well and the gearshift and handbrake lever gaiters finished in black. It has interior trim in Space Grey metallic, with an alternative choice of four other trim variants. EDITION EXCLUSIVE: As for the X3 Edition Exclusive, it receives 18-inch alloy wheels in a Y-spoke design. The Exclusive features are standard, sports and comfort seats of Nevada leather, a leather steering wheel, and armrests at the front. The interior trim in light burr walnut, xenon headlights, a headlight washing system, a rain sensor, and a lights package. BMW also offers the comfort package for both the new models which includes Servotronic steering assistance, a multifunction steering wheel, automatic air conditioning and a climate comfort windscreen, an interior mirror with automatic anti-dazzle function, the BMW Business audio system including loudspeakers, an additional storage package, and a ski-bag. SAFETY: NEWS: 2. This year the BMW X3 received the “Yellow Angel” Award from ADAC, the world’s largest motoring club, in their “Quality” category as the most reliable vehicle on the road in Germany. 3. The market pricing experts of the EurotaxSchwacke only recently rated the BMW X3 as their No 1 in the 2008 AutomobilForecastIndex, confirming that BMW’s SAV has the lowest loss of value of all vehicles in its segment. 4. BMW X3 was already the No 1 choice of readers of the all-wheeler magazine “Auto Bild Allrad”, choosing BMW’s SAV as their “All-Wheeler of the Year” in both 2006 and 2007. In the same years, finally, the BMW X3 was also voted “Off roader of the Year” by the readers of “Off Road”, scoring outstanding class victories in the process. COMMENTS: 1.
