2011 Kia Sorento Overview.

The 2011 Kia Sorento no more has the truck-like appearance and is now one of the most comfortable-riding and powerful midsize rides available. The 2011 Kia Sorento bestrides the line between compact and midsize SUVs. Seating available for seven and its exterior dimension state midsize SUV, but its price and standard four cylinder engine state compact SUV.  Though the Sorento can charge over $29,000 if you choose for the highest trim, a reasonably equipped base model is pretty a good value.

The Sorento's most understandable benefit over these models is its near-midsize size. Longer than both competitors, the Sorento takes advantage with an optional third-row seat that's actually livable by adults for short trips.

Kia approximates the new Sorento’s base fuel economy at 21mpg city and 29 mpg highway. This is about usual for the class, but it’s a pretty good taking into consideration that the Sorento can accommodate up to seven passengers. In fact, no seven-passenger SUV charges less or net more miles per gallon than the Sorento. It’s worth your time even as you consider a better option. But remember that you won’t be getting the Sorento’s outstanding warranty coverage.

Seeing as the Sorento can be matched up to both compact and midsize SUVs, shoppers should look into both classes. The Toyota RAV4 has been much loved by the reviewer’s for a long time among the compact SUVs. It starts at about $700 less than the Sorento, has similar fuel economy (22/28 mpg city/highway), and also shows off a rare third-row seat.  It is associated with an even more powerful V6 engine option and has more cargo space than the Sorento to some extent. But it doesn’t offer the similar outstanding warranties or a few of the Sorento’s standard features (such as Bluetooth). Since the RAV4 and Sorento are so comparable, it’s best to test drive them both.

If you want to cut back, look at the Dodge Journey. It’s exactly a midsize SUV, but it essentially starts at roughly around $2,000 less than the Sorento. Its base fuel economy isn’t as high as the Sorento’s or RAV4’s, but it comes with optional seating for seven along with minivan-like features. Though, the Journey’s cabin isn’t as luxurious or as well-appointed as the Sorento’s, and its handling isn’t quite responsive.

The Sorento is tied in with some of the finest warranty coverage on the market. These include a five-year or 60,000-mile basic warranty and 10-year or 100,000-mile power-train warranty.

The warranty period starts either on the date of first retail sale, or the date the vehicle is first placed in service as an instructor, service loaner or company vehicle, whichever is earlier. Plus from that moment on, your Kia Sorento is looked after during the coverage period, not considering of whether you're the first owner or a subsequent owner.
