2011 BMW X6 Overview.

The BMW X6 made its first appearance last year. Many were cynical about a sports activity vehicle. As the BMW X6 shuffles the line between car and SUV and therefore is known as a crossover. As stated by the test drivers BMW X6 is more like a car than sport-utility but it doesn’t really make a difference because it’s the perfect combination of sports car and SUV. It’s a four door ride with an elevated ride height and all-wheel drive. But it also has a severely at an angle rear end and only two rear seats.

There are a few noteworthy changes as well packing turbocharged six- and eight-cylinder engines allied to a new-for-2011 eight-speed automatic transmission. The BMW X6 is outstandingly quick for its size and weight. BMW calculates approximately that even the six-cylinder will go from zero to 60 mph in a rapid 6.3 seconds. For 2011 model year, that six-cylinder is all-new even if its power evaluations are unaffected. Instead, its fuel economy has been got better owing to a new turbocharger design and additional improvements.

For people with families or cargo requirements, less expensive and more realistic choices abound. The Acura MDX offers BMW-like luxury and a pleasurable (still less exciting) driving experience at a price that's roughly $14,000 less than the BMW X6's. Otherwise, if you’re all about the BMW name, consider the German automaker's own X5. It costs around $10,000 less than the X6 and delivers more you'll get the same firm handling with a lot more roomy second row, better headroom and even an available third-row accommodation.

Each new BMW is covered by a limited warranty for faults in materials or workmanship for the first four years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. The warranty period starts either on the date of first retail sale, or the date the vehicle is first placed in service as an instructor, service loaner or company vehicle, whichever is earlier. Plus from that moment on, your BMW is looked after during the coverage period, not considering of whether you're the first owner or a subsequent owner.

Overall Impressions

The 2011 BMW X6 unites smooth car looks and sporty BMW performance with SUV utility. Though, it's fairly expensive for its class and isn't a convenient hauler for people or cargo. The X6 is an enjoyable-driving, advanced SUV which lives up to its BMW ancestry both inside and out. Yet, it isn't actually a sensible choice but functions well as a sporty diversion. X6 is a prefect ride for singles or couples it's tough to beat the BMW's incredible handling with tremendous high-tech gadgetry. For everyone else though, it's less than perfect.
