2010 Jeep Patriot Overview.

The 2010 Jeep Patriot can provide good value but it all depends on how one looks at it. Agreed that this is the most affordable of all SUVs in its class and provides better fuel economy than any of the non-hybrid rivals and it is the most inexpensive off-road capable SUV in the segment. Depending on your requirements or likes and if the latter turns out to be leaning toward trail-runner types, then you have a winner with the 2010 Jeep Patriot. Despite its good set of features and fuel efficiency, there are some glitches like the uncomfortable rear seats, under-performing engine, few regular features and grudgingly designed cabin. Even though the Jeep styling sets it apart it does not do well for a daily driving car.

The 2010 Jeep Patriot Review:

We assure you that the 2010 Jeep Patriot does not have anything to do with loyalty and devotion or remind you of Hollywood flicks. So what does the 2010 Jeep Patriot have or claims to have? This could be a very hard question given the features that exist on this SUV, but we have tried (quite hard) to compile a few features together to get a review on this one. One look at the 2010 Jeep Patriot and your imagination runs riot! It does appear like a World-War II tested Jeep and the rounded headlamps and perpendicular grille leaning more to the end does give you some solace that this SUV has some relevance to its name.

The 2010 Jeep Patriot gets a “Trail Rated” qualification when studying the nuances of Off-Road Packages, quite similar to a warrior off the trampled pathway. Overall, the 2010 Jeep Patriot is pretty much the same as the Dodge Caliber with an inflated-appearance and if this is patriotism then the 2010 Jeep Patriot is Patriotic!

The 2010 Jeep Patriot definitely borrows much from the much disliked Dodge Caliber and is almost the same as the Jeep Compass. Nevertheless, the 2010 Jeep Patriot is the best amongst all the three because of its Off-Road Package and makes it stand out from other SUVs and their uncertain rocky-terrain heaving aptitudes. The 2010 Jeep Patriot is quite okay for daily drives thanks to the optional hard-drive based multimedia integration system which provides almost everything from MP3 ripping to Bluetooth connectivity and movie-viewing on the dashboards mounted LCD screen.

However, the 2010 Jeep Patriot’s engine is loud and brash and lacks oomph! Plus the handling is bad and the cabin materials are coarse and cheap with the comfort level dropping way down. The other disadvantage of the 2010 Jeep Patriot is the inability to haul as much and the cargo space of 53-cubic-foot being the maximum brings down the excitement even more.

2010 Jeep Patriot Pros:

  • + The best off-road SUV at an affordable price.
  • Fuel Economy Unmatched for its Class!
  • Liftgate has an innovative speaker option.

2010 Jeep Patriot Cons:

  • Highway rides and Engine thrust remain average.
  • Cabin Looks are Rustic compared to competitors.
  • Rear Seats are cramped and uncomfortable.
