Mitsubishi unveiled at the Tokyo motor show to bring a plug-in hybrid SUV to the market by 2013 with the PX MiEV concept. The production hybrid SUV would go on sale in a number of markets globally, including the UK. It will arrive in three or four years and the concept is designed to showcase what a mid-sized crossover SUV could look like with petrol electric power and strongly hints at the look of the next Outlander. Premier Automobiles has launched the Rio compact SUV, in a bid to reclaim its place as a player in the Indian automotive scene. The comeback vehicle for Premier Automobiles has been launched between Rs 5.25 lakh and Rs 5.95 lakh! Fiat’s upcoming 500 Giardiniera could be a mini-SUV. With all this talk of mergers and acquisitions, it would be easy to forget that Fiat has its own model lines to update and supplement. So while Sergio Marchionne flies back and forth between Detroit and Turin, a report has emerged suggesting Fiat could be preparing a crossover version of its popular 500 retro-hatch.
