The BMW has always surpassed other SUVs in driving dynamics and the BMW X5 SUV is no exception to the rule. The BMW X5 SUV is at its best, offering the best driving dynamics and luxurious interiors. Nevertheless it all depends on what everyone wants but if the choice is centered on a sporty model with an optional third-row and luxury is required in every mile; then the BMW X5 SUV is unquestionably the best choice.

Unquestionably everything comes with a price and the price tag on the BMW X5 SUV is pretty steep. The all-wheel drive xDrive system is undoubtedly an advantage over other SUVs but taking in account other factors of poor fuel economy, coupled with the baffling navigation system are keep-away warnings signs. One cannot fail to appreciate the sporty driving performance for an SUV and the base engine on the BMW X5 SUV provides more than sufficient power. There is even an option for a V8 engine that can give an additional vigor for passionate drivers. The diesel version of the BMW X5 SUV is much powerful than the gasoline and gives is quite fuel efficient.

What’s hot with the BMW X5 SUV?

Sporty yet suitable for family drives and surpasses other competitors with ease due to it’s highly Sporty Look. In Short the BMW X5 SUV puts the S in the SUV! Plush Interiors and comfy seating for the driver and rear passengers are definitely a plus. The revamped iDrive system has become one of the best electronic interfaces, found nowadays. Everything about the BMW X5 SUV spells quality and it even goes for the materials and the craftsmanship – absolutely top-notch!

The Good: Agreed that the BMW X5 SUV is equipped with almost all technical tricks in the book and has additional ones that make the BMW X5 SUV one of the finest SUVs for on-road performance. Parking-System is applaudable with a new top-down view. The hard-drive-based navigation system including the satellite images and dynamic routing during traffic congestions are good and so is the 15 gigabytes of space allocated for storing music.

The Bad: All the technicalities lose luster with the let down of fuel economy. The navigation system though state-of-the-art has very poor color co-ordination that makes it hard to read and follow and though the high-tech cabin is well equipped it does have its share of oddity and one of them is the two different settings menus.

  • Third-row optional seat is confined to suit only kids.
  • The iDrive electronic controls are way too confusing and can take some time to get accustomed to.
